THE SIGNIFICANCE OF OEKO – TEX STANDARD FOR THE TEXTILE SECTOR AND CONSUMERS.
Abstract
in this article will discussed the various mechanical and physical-chemical procedures are involved in the creation of textiles, which is a very complex process. It is crucial to understand the procedures used to generate environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable products while producing ecotextiles. The most important factor of the manufacturing of environmentally friendly textiles is the producer. Consumers of textiles are primarily concerned about the topic of human ecology, which is the potential impact of risks from textile products on human health.. The development of procedures for evaluating pH, harmful compounds such as heavy metals, toxic dyes, crop protection substances, and carcinogenic substances such as formaldehyde, phenols, or pesticides in testing articles was the focus of OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Additionally, test procedures must adhere to the specifications of these standards.
