ALTERNATIVE ROLE OF THE PROGERIA AMONG OTHER DISEASES
Abstract
Encountering the problems of progeria, which is the result of creating time and happiness in children, giving them a fast-growing life in the blink of an eye.
Brief description and symptoms of the disease: Progeria is a special type of progeroid syndrome, also known as Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome. A single gene mutation is responsible for progeria. A gene known as lamin A (LMNA) makes a protein needed to hold the cell nucleus together. When this gene mutates, an abnormal form of the lamin A protein called progerin is produced. Progeroid syndromes are a group of diseases that cause people to age faster than usual, making them look older than they really are. Patients born with progeria usually live into their teens and twenties.
